Considering Lisa’s new status as an actress and her undeniable global appeal, her presence at the 2025 Oscars wasn’t exactly surprising.
The White Lotus actress made a statement in a tuxedo-inspired look from Chinese designer Markgong, a choice I truly appreciate. Markgong’s rebellious approach to modern womenswear aligns perfectly with Lisa’s fearless style, and from the waist up, this was a major win. The sharp tailoring, the sleek silhouette, the attitude—it was all there.
But then we get to the length. And that’s where this look lost me. It felt too undone, too relaxed for the Oscars, which is a shame because the vision was strong. Had this been the Grammys or any other music event, I would have been all in. For Hollywood’s biggest night, though? I needed something with a little more polish.
Bvlgari jewels completed her look.
