Ayo Edebiri Prada Sport 'After The Hunt' CinemaCon 2025 Presentation

Following a whirlwind press tour for Opus, Ayo Edebiri was back in the spotlight at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas, this time presenting her new film, After the Hunt. Given her strong style game, I was excited to see what she would bring to the red carpet. Unfortunately, this custom Prada Sport look left me… well, hunting for something to love.

Ayo opted for a minimalist tunic made of black nylon fabric, layered over a frosted white organza semi-sheer skirt with thigh slits on either side. Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m all for a minimalist moment. In fact, some of the most striking red carpet looks in recent memory have leaned into simplicity. Think Saoirse Ronan and Zendaya, who have mastered the art of effortless elegance, proving that sometimes, less really is more. Even Carey Mulligan’s recent perfectly tailored suit was a testament to the power of refined dressing.

But when it comes to this look? There’s just nothing to it. The construction feels oddly flimsy, and the design lacks the sophistication that we know Prada can deliver. Instead of looking sleek and intentional, it looks unfinished—like a work-in-progress that didn’t quite make it to the final fitting.

White mesh Prada pumps completed the look.

Is this charming anyone? Because I’m still searching for the appeal.
