In a first, the Maison dresses its famed model in a unique shade of blue matte ceramic. Dubbed the J12 Bleu – Chanel is nothing if not the archetype of Parisian chic – this intense shade, an eternal hue in the Maison’s palette, is evocative of the jewellery boxes from the 1932 Bijoux de Diamants collection, serving as a subtle homage to the past. And if Miranda Priestly has taught us anything about the language of colour, it’s that blue is never just blue.
A testament to five years of research to develop the tone, the J12 BLEU is a true reflection of the exceptional craftsmanship of the Maison’s horological legacy, just as much as their heritage in tweed and leather goods.
This distinctive colour reveals its many facets as it catches the light, enhancing the elegance of nine new creations that balance radiance with subtlety, and excellence with precision. Some of these exquisite timepieces are set with brilliant blue sapphires, elevating the J12 BLEU to a new level of sophistication.
Available in both 33mm and 38mm, each version is accentuated with baguette-cut sapphires that gently transition into the richness of the blue. So, perhaps it’s time to pause on getting your next 11.12 handbag and instead look out for 11.12 on the dial of your new Chanel J12 Bleu.
