While Keke Palmer went archival at the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards, Gabrielle Union went the Couture route—though you’d be forgiven for thinking her Celia Kritharioti gown came straight from a glamorous speakeasy rather than the Spring 2025 Couture runway.
The halter gown’s draped beaded details were pure 1920s magic. It didn’t feel like a costume, though—it felt like a clever and chic callback to a bygone era, with Gabrielle gliding across the carpet like she might break into a Charleston at any moment. The craftsmanship was immaculate, and the way the beading caught the light? Effortless drama.
With so much going on, it was a smart move to keep the rest of the styling pared back. Just a few elegant Tiffany & Co. rings, earrings and some strategically invisible PVC peep toes. No distractions, no fuss—just letting the dress and that radiant smile do all the heavy lifting.

There’s a fine line between theme-y and timeless when it comes to vintage-inspired gowns, but Gabrielle managed to walk it like a pro.
