Gal Gadot black Prada fringe dress 2025 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony

We’ve been raising a collective eyebrow at Gal Gadot’s recent fashion alliance with Prada, and rightly so. Her Oscars night look and the Vanity Fair after-party dress were less “fairest of them all” and more “mirror, mirror… are you sure?” For an actress set to play Snow White, we were hoping for something a bit more enchanting and a lot more her.

But at the 2025 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Santa Monica on Saturday, the tide finally turned. Gal and Prada finally hit the sweet spot with a paillette-embellished black dress that brought sparkle, sophistication, and a dash of redemption.

If this look is ringing a bell, it’s probably because it bears resemblance to the unforgettable highlighter yellow Prada moment Sarah Paulson gave us at the Ocean’s 8 premiere in 2018. But Gal’s version took the subtler route, swapping neon for noir fringes—a theme she’s clearly vibing with since her Hollywood Walk of Fame star moment.

This is a textbook case of fashion persistence: strike out once, twice, but keep swinging and eventually you hit gold. And oh, did they strike a gold mine this time. The look was cohesive, cool, and finally felt like Gal Gadot in Prada instead of Prada on Gal Gadot.

With matching Prada accessories and Tiffany & Co. jewels adding the final sparkle, this may be the beginning of a new chapter—one where the Prada-Gadot partnership is less questionable and a lot more covetable. Let’s see.
