The worlds of The White Lotus and The Last of Us collided on the red carpet in Sydney as cast members from both HBO Originals came together for The Last of Us premiere. And if you thought their on-screen drama was captivating, their fashion choices were just as compelling.
Lady in Red
Leslie Bibb was a walking exclamation mark in a bold red Mugler asymmetrical double-layered dress. The sculpted silhouette ensured all eyes were on her. Adding even more fire to the look? Red-hot Jimmy Choo Ixia pumps and a dazzling mix of Gabriel & Co., Yvonne Léon, and Anita Ko jewels. She is swiftly becoming one of my faves.

Bohemian Rhapsody
Isabela Merced embraced a softer, more whimsical vibe in a breezy maxi dress adorned with cascading ruffles. The fluid movement of the fabric gave her an ethereal, effortlessly cool presence. While The Last of Us is known for its apocalyptic intensity, Isabela brought a refreshingly lighthearted touch to the evening.

Tailoring Tension
Natasha Rothwell from The White Lotus proved she can master more than one kaftan style, wearing a blue asymmetric top paired with wide-leg trousers. The look could have benefitted from a bit more tailoring.

Backwards or Bold?
Kaitlyn Dever left us all scratching our heads with this Rodarte Fall 2025 strapless white lace dress. The flowing train appeared to be draped across the front, prompting the inevitable question—was it on backwards? Surprisingly, the lookbook confirmed that this was, in fact, the intended design. A choice that’s equal parts puzzling and avant-garde. Tiffany & Co. jewels completed her look.

Earth Meets Elegance
Patrick Schwarzenegger and Versace made a compelling case for brown and blue as an unexpectedly elegant pairing. The rich, earthy brown provided warmth, while the cool serenity of blue kept the look grounded. Santoni brown shoes rounded out the ensemble, proving that sometimes, the most unconventional colour combinations create the most striking results.

Denim with a Bite
Bella Ramsey rocked a Thom Browne double denim ensemble that featured an intricately embroidered snake—a nod to the Lunar New Year. The signature four stripes were reimagined into something more daring, adding a fresh twist to Thom Browne’s signature aesthetic which was a playful reinterpretation for them.

Coffee Break
While earthy brown is a new favoured shade, Young Mazino reminded us that the deep, rich coffee hue still holds its own. His Loewe nubuck suit was equal parts modern and timeless, offering a sleek alternative to the traditional black-tie look.
