Miu Miu and New Balance are rallying, David Beckham dips his toes in design, and, are you ready for battle with Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY’s Clash of Clans collab? Welcome to this week’s fashion news roundup.
Kendrick is a Certified Chanel Boy
Unexpected, but absolutely on point – that’s the kind of collab we live for. This week, Kendrick Lamar has been announced as Chanel’s latest brand ambassador, joining the ranks of House favourites Margaret Qualley, Nana Komatsu and Lupita Nyong’o. And boy, are we excited to see what’s next. Lamar is no stranger to fashion moments – his sartorial game has long been a masterclass in A-grade streetwear. (Yes, we’re still not over those flared trousers at the Super Bowl.) But given that the French Maison doesn’t officially offer a menswear line, we’re predicting a feast of accessories-focused collabs on the horizon, fronted by the “Not Like Us” rapper. The first drop? Sunglasses.
No doubt the certified boogeyman looks damn good in Chanel – but here’s the real question: could the collab be the first whisper of a new chapter for the House, now under the creative helm of Matthieu Blazy? Our eyes are peeled.
David Beckham bosses his debut collection with Hugo BOSS

Many moons ago, David Beckham was best seen kicking his laced up feet onto a football, shooting into nothing but net as he led his country to greatness. Fast forward two decades, and the footballer-turned-designer has switched teams, joining his wife into the world of fashion, as he’s pairing up with Hugo BOSS in its first co-designed collection for SS25. Unfolding as a series of everyday essentials swathed in opulent textures, Beckham x BOSS aims to elevate the former footie boy’s wardrobe, elevating his vision of the modern man. Minimalistic silhouettes are underscored in neutral colourways, punctuated by seamless tailoring that can be dressed up and down. This collection marks the first of many for the duo, as Beckham works in tandem with the German-founded brand to celebrate this multi-year collaboration. The collection, which launched on Wednesday, came to light through the lens of Lachlan Bailey, as the photographer and director captured the collaboration in a series of photos, alongside a filmed campaign, as Beckham is seen lounging about a plush infinity pool, donning the garms.
Getting battle-ready with Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY

Clash of Clans, the 2012 video-game that caused a short-stinted phase for tweenagers far and wide (maybe a longer, not-so tweenager phase for some of us), is moving out from the confines of a phone screen, and into the Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY universe. The lore of LOVERBOY’s playful and cartoonish motifs allows Clash of Clans to slip into the British-based label, bringing to fantastical worlds together in expressive cadences. The collection embodies the Charles Jeffrey vocabulary: signature thick, knitted beanies with protruding, horn-like ears converse with frayed denim minidresses, jackets, and jeans, finished with Jeffrey’s affinity for nautical-wear, as a plaid fabric washes over a sailor’s hat. At its core, LOVERBOY reminds us of our childlike instincts, and this collaboration with Clash of Clans acts as a timely sentiment for that.
Coco Gauff serves in Miu Miu and New Balance’s tennis court

Coco Gauff storms onto the tennis court like a bull in a china shop — a sports maven who shows no mercy when her racket’s involved. Of course, it’s not every day that somebody can take on a great like Venus Williams, and defeat her, let alone trust a 15-year-old girl to get the job done, but Coco Gauff did just that back in 2019, and the rest is history. Now 21, the Grand Slam champion is set to blend style with her athleticism, as Gauff will flaunt New Balance and Miu Miu on-court, for the highly-anticipated, upcoming tennis tournaments. Starting in Rome, and ending at the Cincinnati Open, Miu Miu and New Balance have co-designed a capsule of tennis-themed garments for Gauff, and us fashion-heads, to get our hands on. In a colour palette featuring forest green, navy blue, and royal purple, Gauff’s off-court fits will extend to Miu Miu and New Balance’s footwear, as the team have designed four, oh-so Instagrammable sneakers. No deuces here, just Coco Gauff, Miu Miu and New Balance acing their hand at tennis wear.
Jacquemus flies to the City of Angels

Under the rose-tinted sunsets strewn upon Hollywood’s infamous hills, Simone Porte Jacquemus is leading his namesake label into Melrose Avenue, as the French atelier is launching its first boutique in Los Angeles. To celebrate the boutique’s opening, Jacquemus is unveiling a three-day activation, namely, ‘The Jacquemus Market’, which will shower participants who stop by in banana-flavoured ice cream, and plush bouquets of yellow flowers. All of this, along with the chance to win a voucher that can be exchanged for a choice of the brand’s fitting yellow products: the Rond Carré clutch, or even its new Timberland ‘La Bateau’ boots. With the activation opening its doors between April 24-27, pop down to the SoCal boutique and enjoy a cone of banana ice cream.
Art and denim blossom together as Lee links up with artist Ruohan Wang

Berlin-based, Chinese-born artist Ruohan Wang bends her feminine aesthetic into Lee’s world of elevated basics, underscored by its iconic denims, as the two have teamed up to bring a Spring-inspired collection to life. Wang has reimagined Lee’s signature staples, showcasing denim jackets, which get an abstract landscape washed on its back, pale pink co-ords are emboldened with funky patches and sky blue buttons, which merge with Wang’s playful paintbrush and rich colour palette; invigorating the capsule collection. The heartbeat of this collaboration, lies in Lee’s durable design vocabulary, blending in with Wang’s serendipitous world, making for an intimate dialogue between the pair’s expressive partnership, championing self-love, independence, and womanhood.
