Phoebe Dynevor is not typically a sneaker girl but that didn’t stop her from embracing this spring’s biggest shoe trend.
On April 10, the Bridgerton actor attended Louis Vuitton’s star-studded launch of the LV Sneakerina in a pair of the brand’s sleek new athletic shoe, designed as a mid-way point between sneakers and ballet flats. There’s never been a more perfect time for these luxury kicks to hit the market as extra-slim designs like the Puma Speedcat and Adidas Tokyo Sneaker usurp Adidas Sambas as the dominating sneaker trend of 2025.
Though Phoebe Dynevor is rarely photographed in sneakers, she effortlessly wove the athletic shoe into her timeless—and, recently, bridal—aesthetic with a particularly elegant display of the “wrong shoe theory.” Overall, the Louis Vuitton ambassador leaned away from the shoe’s sporty design, pairing her white LV Sneakerinas with a billowing white minidress and black LV Biker Bag.
Meanwhile, the Haim sisters embraced the shoe’s athletic origins, pairing vibrant green versions of the LV Sneakerina with more laid-back attire at the San Vicente Bungalows in Santa Monica, California. While Danielle Haim styled her sneakers with black trousers and a striped rugby polo, Alana Haim proved the $975 sneakers can immediate elevate a pair of black jeans and leather bomber jacket.
The LV Sneakerina’s foot-hugging Sacchetto construction makes for a particularly versatile shoe, which is pretty much the entire appeal of slim-fitting sneakers with ultra-thin soles. Just ask Jennifer Lawrence, who has tripled-down on the slim sneaker trend in the past few months, most recently pairing red-striped Adidas Tokyo sneakers with a white slip skirt and butter-yellow jacket.
Of course, Emily Ratajkowski has been favoring the Puma Speedcat since April 2024. Don’t get me wrong, dad sneakers have their place in any closet, but summer 2025 is clearly all about staying light on your feet.
