Bvlgari’s Serpenti takes on a new form the year of the Snake

While snake bites are best avoided, a serpent slithering along the wrist in the form of a Bvlgari Serpenti is never a bad thing.

In fact, quite the opposite, as one of the Maison’s most recognisable watches, which contorts up the wrist in multiple bangles, undergoes a metamorphosis for 2025.

The snake that we all know and love slithers into a new identity for Watches and Wonders 2025, in its boldest transformation to date. Meet the Aeterna, a stylised serpent crafted into a unique bracelet. Embracing the wrist in a bangle form, the reptile emerges in high jewellery, with diamonds decorating its skin.

Since the birth of the creature in 1948, the Serpenti has undergone numerous transformations, shedding the skin of its former self, while always staying true to the Italian spirit of the Maison. For this new era, after two years of development, the Aeterna comes alive in two iterations: one in rose gold, adorned with diamonds, and another in fully pavé-set white gold. Precious gemstones decorate the snow-set dial, tracing the length of the spine all the way to the tip of the tail. In the white gold edition, large, eye-catching gems add a bold, three-dimensional effect, accentuating the piece’s captivating depth and contours.

“Aeterna is more than a timepiece or jewellery—it is the ultimate expression of Bvlgari’s avant-garde vision. I wanted to capture Serpenti’s DNA, distill it to its essence, and project it into the future.” – Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Product Creation Executive Director, Bvlgari.
