Friday marked day one of Coachella 2025, and while the desert heat was doing its usual thing, Tyla turned it all the way up with a debut performance that solidified her as the moment. With her hypnotic amapiano grooves and hits like Push 2 Start, Shake Ah, and Jump—plus a cover of Aaliyah’s Rock the Boat that had the crowd swaying in pure nostalgia—she gave a performance that was equal parts smooth, sultry, and completely magnetic.
The visuals were just as striking as the vocals. Tyla wore a Dolce & Gabbana Swarovski crystal mesh bra and a silk jacquard belted skirt with glass fringes, both pulled from the house’s Spring 2000 archives. Topping it off? A white off-the-shoulder cropped top that added a touch of Coachella whimsy to the otherwise high-octane look. The whole ensemble sparkled under the stage lights like it was made for golden hour.

Considering Tyla’s deep-rooted love for barely-there stagewear, this outfit was absolutely in her wheelhouse. She knows what works for her body, for the moment, and for the vibe. And those deliberately torn fishnet tights? That wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction—that was attitude. It gave the whole look a bit of rawness, a little edge, and a reminder that yes, she’s glamorous, but she’s also gritty and grounded in her own rhythm.

A major debut. A major look. A major star.
