Today, Saint Laurent debuts the seventh installment of SELF. The photography series, an amalgamation of images captured by emerging photographers from across the world, was first launched by Anthony Vaccarello in 2018 at the annual Paris Photo fair, and has continued to serve as a reflection of the French house’s ethos since. This year, Vaccarello tapped six artists from the realms of fashion, landscape, and documentary photography and film to make original works about the cities they call home. The series—shot by photographers Alex Webb, Harry Gruyaert, Olivia Arthur, Takashi Homma, Daesung Lee, and Birdhead across North America, Europe, and Asia—reflects the brand’s reverence for human intimacy, the natural world, and the urban landscape. SELF 07 will be on view simultaneously in Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai until June 12th. Take a look at selected works from the series below.
