Janelle Monáe joined Lizzo on the red carpet for the 2022 BET Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (June 26) in Los Angeles, California.
These two talents should’ve been the ones leading the charge and giving us trailblazing fashions at this event, but in Janelle’s case she kinda played it safe in this Roberto Cavalli Fall 2022 gown.
That is not to say this isn’t a stunning gown (I can’t resist a leather harness or Roberto Cavalli for that matter), as Janelle looks beautiful here, and I would even add this to her hall of fame.
But I would say leave this for JLo or Ciara, as I want to see something more fashion forward from Janelle.
With her honey-coloured hair twisted into a top-knot, she completed her look with a Vhernier ring.
