On Wednesday (July 20), British Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful OBE hosted an event alongside Han Chong, Founder and Creative Director of self-portrait, and Gigi Hadid, the fashion house’s newest campaign star, to celebrate British creativity.
Gigi was channeling her inner Tinker Bell wearing a green Self-Portrait embellished long sleeve dress which gave her an ultra-sleek profile.
Opting to go matchy matchy, the model styled her look with Self-Portrait ‘The Bow’ bag in a delicious pistachio shade.
In the pictures her Christian Louboutin O Marilyn Spinach Laminato sandals look black, but they are actually a lush, bright shade of metallic green, hence Spinach in the name.
Self Portrait The Bow Bag
Self Portrait’s first ever handbag, the ‘Bow Bag,’ was inspired by the tune ‘The Boy Is Mine’ by Brandy and Monica which explains the ‘90s nostalgia.
The biggest signal to me that this bag is being pushed to be the latest ‘IT’ bag comes from the ad campaign which stars supermodel Naomi Campbell.
The bag comes in two versions: the Bow Mini and the Bow Micro.
Marrying clean lines, sleek leather, and intricate detailing, the boxy Bow bag is a timeless style that comes in a multitude of understated colourways, finished with an ornate crystal-encrusted or gold-plated ribbon which adds a sweet, feminine touch.
It looks like green was the colour of the night as Maya Henry also opted for Self Portrait one-shoulder crochet-trimmed ribbed-knit midi dress in a gorgeous shade of green.
Detailed with the label’s signature guipure lace at the neckline, it presents a contemporary take on the traditional cocktail dressing.
However, I think both her pose, and styling could’ve been better to elevate this look, as the dress is beautiful.
Pixie Lott was joined by her beau Olivier Cheshire at the event, where it appears that Pixie swapped ‘The Bow’ bag for a Self-Portrait bow accented dress.
The cut-out and large contrasting bow may be the first elements that you notice about this dress, but I was intrigued by the delicate nature of the sleeves which Pixie opted to wear off-the-shoulder to give this sweet nature of the dress more of an alluring feel.
