The Southern-California based brand debuts new styles in refelting and plant-based TENCEL Lyocell.
With climate change being a big topic in the fashion world, UGG is making sure they’re doing what it can to ensure a clean future. For their Autumn/Winter 2022 collection, the brand continues its commitment to seek and use better materials. All styles in the Plant Power Collection use made from plant-based, bio-based and reclaimed materials, and take initiative towards a regenerative future.
“At UGG, we are committed to our journey toward a more regenerative world. Our latest Plant Power Collection reaffirms this ongoing commitment, as we reimagine our iconic styles and introduce new silhouettes that include plant-based and bio-based low emitting materials with offsets for the small number of emissions they create-making the materials carbon-neutral,” said Nicks Ericsson, Senior Director of Brand Purpose at UGG.
After becoming a TikTok staple shoe, the Fluff Yeah Fuzz Sugar is getting an environmentally friendly makeover. The Fluff Yeah Fuzz Sugar uses low-impact materials, along with the Fuzz Sugar Clog, Fuzz Sugar Slide, and Fuzz Sugar Cross slide. These materials create a small number of emissions and are carbon-neutral. The soft upper on each style uses TENCEL Lyocell from responsibly-harvested trees, a SugarSole midsole made from renewable sugarcane. These four silhouettes are not only good for the planet but are good for your feet too.
The ReFelt Tasman and ReFelt Nuemel continue the sustainability-focused capsule. These silhouettes reduce the dependency on virgin materials and are classic heritage styles of the UGG brand. The uppers on both styles use 100% recycled polyester fiber felt and recycled plastic waste. Like the other shoes in the collection, these styles have a TENCEL Lyocell lining and a SugarSole outsole.
Select styles from the Autumn/Winter 2022 Plant Power Collection are available now at UGG stores and select retailers nationwide. Customers can find the shoes on UGG’s website as well.
