Color and how to wear it is always a popular topic on the blog. So this week, I thought I would write about the trend colors for Spring/Summer and tell you which ones are right for you and where to find them.
First of all, what are this season’s colors?
The colors from left to right are; Rose Quartz, Peach Echo, Serenity, Snorkel Blue, Buttercup, Limpet Shell, Lilac Grey, Fiesta, Iced Coffee, and Green Flash.
Each year there is a color of the year. However, this year there are two; Rose Quartz and Serenity, which I think signals a return to femininity.
Trend colors to suit Light Coloring
Choose Rose Quartz, Serenity, Limpet Shell, Lilac Grey, and Iced Coffee. If you are Light and warm, add Peach Echo and Buttercup. In Spring and Summer, mix two or more light shades, perfect in the sunshine.
Trend Colors to suit Deep Coloring
Choose Snorkel Blue, and for Deep and warm, use Peach Echo, Buttercup, and Fiesta as a contrast. For Deep and cool, choose Rose Quartz, Serenity, and Lilac Grey. In the summer months, the colors tend to be lighter, which can be tricky for those with Deep coloring. Remember, though, that you can wear any of your neutrals with these accent colors. Consider Chocolate brown linen mixed with Peach Echo or a Black dress with Fiesta accessories.
Trend colors to suit Cool Coloring
Rose Quart, Serenity, Snorkel Blue, Limpet Shell, and Lilac Grey. Mix blues and greys to play up your cool coloring.
Trend colors to suit Warm Coloring
Choose Peach Echo, Buttercup, Limpet Shell, Fiesta, Iced Coffee, and if you are Warm and bright, Green Flash. Think of golden beaches and sunshine when you put your look together.
Trend colors to suit Bright Coloring
For Bright and cool, choose Rose Quartz, Serenity, Snorkel Blue, Limpet Shell, and Lilac Grey. For Bright and warm, choose Peach Echo, Buttercup, Fiesta, Ice Coffee, and Green Flash. But remember, with any of the softer colors, add one of your brights and with any lighter colors, add a bright or darker neutral because you need contrast in your outfits.
Trend colors to suit Soft Coloring
Choose Rose Quartz, Serenity, Limpet Shell, Lilac Grey, and Iced Coffee. Blend colors together without too much contrast. For example, mix Rose Quartz or Serenity with Iced Coffee.
