Ashley Graham made an appearance on the red carpet at the 2022 MTV VMAs on Sunday (August 28), and instantly caused a stir.
The model has always been a body positive icon and has never been one to shy away from showing off her stretch marks.
Some of you might not love the fact that she opted to wear this custom Houghton by Katharine Polk cut-out dress, but first off, she looks beautiful. Stretch marks will never change that.
And secondly, considering young women are bombarded with filtered images every day and made to feel bad about having hip dips (a phrase I hate with a passion) and not having the perfect skin, I love how Ashley message clearly is be comfortable in your own skin.
Stretch marks and all. Because we all have them, and cellulite. They are nothing to be ashamed of.
