The best show on television is back, and tears were shed before it even premiered. The Drew Barrymore Show returned for its third season on Monday, September 12, but before the episode aired, footage of a long-awaited reunion between exes Drew Barrymore and Justin Long took over the internet.
During the first season of the daytime talk show, Barrymore reunited with ex-husband Tom Green after 15 years. Earlier this year, Barrymore revealed in an episode that she had an open relationship with ex-Luke Wilson. Basically, Drew gives us all the tea on her past. Ellen could never!
Barrymore and Long dated off and on between 2007 and 2010. In 2010, they starred in the romantic comedy Going the Distance together. In a clip from their chat on The Drew Barrymore Show season three premiere, the former couple, who have become friends since their breakup, opened up about their relationship and what they mean to each other.
“I feel like we’ve been through so much together too,” Barrymore said. “When we used to talk and FaceTime I was always like, ‘You know, I’ve really grown up, Justin.’ I always wanted to prove to you what a different person I was than when we dated.”
“We laughed so much, like that was so much a part of our connection was that we love funny people. We enjoy laughing at all times,” Long said. “I love that we maintained our love because I know for my end it will never go away.”
