The luxury Maison unveils its new collection amidst the expansive sands of Aranya.

When the world is viewed through a child’s eyes, the mighty is seen as magnificent: the impossible is achieved through imagination, leaving no concept off-limits for creation. The opportunity that is laid bare at a playground is never amiss to children, yet is so often blockaded by the practicalities and realities of adulthood. Yet for Louis Vuitton, whose devotion to discovery has created a playground of its own since its inception in 1854, those blockades do not exist — leaving space for community, innovation and growth.

For the Louis Vuitton Men’s SS23 Spin-off Show, the luxury Maison takes to Aranya to unveil a bold collection with hopes, desires and dreams threaded through every garment. In every warped hemline, pop of neon colour and exuberant silhouette, the art of playful togetherness is detected throughout. Merging suit cuts with paper plane appliqués and irregular patterns, Louis Vuitton unites each man with their inner child — a touching continuation of Virgil Abloh’s innate ability to forge community within design.

Inviting the blossoming opportunities of Spring, flower accents are seen throughout the looks, whether printed on exaggerated overcoats next to the House’s emblem or engrained within comic-like graphic prints. Experimenting further with materials, the runway saw fluffy pockets attached to tie-dye coats, acrylic beads fastened onto silk blazers — a cacophony of textures that incite excitement yet exude style.

Introduced by a cinematic prelude titled Mirage, created by Chinese Directors Jia Zhang and Wei Shujun, Louis Vuitton further expand its landscape, spanning mountainous regions and sandy deserts to reach the core of what binds us together — the power of nature and our place within it. As the visual captures two young children making a getaway from a sandstorm, they find solace in the House of Louis Vuitton, inviting us all to do the same.
