Cate Blanchett was spotted arriving at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Tuesday (October 4) in New York City for her guest appearance on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ where she was promoting her new film, ‘Tar.’
I can’t say that these are the most flattering pictures, and that has a lot to do with the fact that Cate is in motion, the lighting is terrible and that her hair is looking disheveled.
That leads me nicely onto her dress.
I love that she opted to wear the red carpet unicorn brand; Dries van Noten.
Personally, I prefer this dress without the white turtleneck which we see on both Cate and the model, but all things considered – the weather, this being a TV appearance – I’m not mad at its inclusion.
Cate’s Dries van Noten cold-shoulder dress itself is very interesting.
Not only does it feature embellished cold-shoulder straps, but it also features a belt.
Had she worn this on the red carpet I would’ve wanted a removal of the belt also, as the belt makes this look feel more like a cold-shoulder coat.
Cate styled her look with Aquazzura Rock Chic boots which features a crystal accented heel.
