Rapper and style maverick A$AP Rocky celebrated his 34th birthday with a party held at Olivetta in West Hollywood on Monday (October 3), alongside his partner Rihanna.
A$AP Rocky is that rapper who has always served up something more than the sports wear when it comes to his style.
His love for fashion sees him seamlessly wearing a Palm Angels tracksuit one minute, and a Celine Homme suit the next.
In fact, I feel like he kinda set the standard in stepping outside the “rappers uniform,” to serve up looks like his pink Loewe 2019 pre-Grammy suit which is still my favourite red carpet look from him to date.
On this occasion he rocked a Celine Homme striped suit which fuses wonderful sartorial constructions with fine wool and silk jacquard fabrics.
The look was free from sneakers, pearl necklaces, asymmetric cuts, as he partied the night away.
Oversized shades and Celine Homme Drugstore derby shoes completed his look.
Rihanna, who is probably still nursing, wasn’t about to let the paparazzi take any unflattering shots, hence covering the top half of her Dior by John Galliano Spring 2001 sheer dress accented with zippers.
I know what you’re thinking. The gentlemanly thing to do would’ve been for A$AP Rocky to have offered her his Celine Homme blazer. I was thinking the same.
The singer completed her look with Jimmy Choo x Mugler pumps.
And that wasn’t the only all black look Rihanna sported recently.
On Friday (September 30), Rihanna dined out at her favourite Italian restaurant, Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica wearing an Alexander Wang Fall 2022 black velour track jacket and column skirt.
My first thought was that the necklace feels a little too dressy. This is the kinda necklace we would see on the red carpet during the Cannes Film Festival.
But who am I to tell a billionaire when and where she can wear her jewels?
