Kate Hudson is shining bright like a diamond. Yeah, I’m mixing my pop girlie lyrics, what are you gonna do about it? The Almost Famous star attended the premiere of her new movie Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery literally dripping in sequins, a look that’s got me pining for a Maleficent-style origin story on Glinda the Good Witch (yeah, I know Wicked is happening, once again, just let me have this).
Look at the sleeves! The neck! The chevron! The SLEEVES!

If you’re even a casual observer of red carpet fashion, you can finish this sentence yourself: she’s embracing the…sheer dress trend. This particular take on the look is Elie Saab, from the label’s winter 2022 collection, per Us Weekly. It reminds me equally of Britney’s Swarovski bodysuit from the “Toxic” video and (I’m sorry) Lara Trump (I’m sorry) at Tiffany’s wedding (I’m sorry, but I’m right!).
Nice to see Hudson shining on the red carpet after a quasi-break from movie stardom. If Glass Onion hits like the first Knives Out did, hopefully we’re in for a Hudsonnaisance.
Not to be outdone, her co-stars were equally glamorous. Janelle Monáe also wore Elie Saab, Madelyn Cline wore Versace (a look that we could see on KHud, TBH), and Jessica Henwick looked dreamy in Tory Burch. Kathryn Hahn also looked great in Carolina Herrera.
