George Clooney may be a Kennedy Center honoree, but on the red carpet, he’s just Amal Clooney’s husband.
On December 3, the power couple attended the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony in Washington, D.C., where George was honored for his lifetime achievements alongside artists like Gladys Knight and the members of U2. “Growing up in a small town in Kentucky I could never have imagined that someday I’d be the one sitting in the balcony at the Kennedy Center Honors,” George Clooney said, per ABC News. “To be mentioned in the same breath with the rest of these incredible artists is an honor. This is a genuinely exciting surprise for the whole Clooney family.”
While that may be true, the Clooneys left their five-year-old twins behind when they hit the red carpet ahead of the ceremony. Amal stunned in a red, off-the-shoulder Valentino gown with a dramatic cape. She paired the dress with a matching clutch, keeping her hair down in loose ringlets. While walking the carpet, George made sure her cape laid just right. You can see photos here.
Amal has been all about crimson red carpet moments as of late. During their last appearance in October, Amal wore a flowy, red patterned Alexander McQueen dress with a bold red lip to the premiere of her husband’s film, Ticket To Paradise.
On September 24, the human rights lawyer attended the 2022 History Talks event in Washington, DC, wearing a sheer red lace jumpsuit.
