What do we think is King Charles’s favorite Ryan Reynolds movie? Is he a Deadpool guy or a Free Guy guy? No, Charles is old school. Classy. Traditional. It’s definitely The Proposal.
This is what we assume was talked about when Reynolds and the monarch hung out on Friday, December 9. Charles and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, visited Wrexham, an area in Wales that officially became a city this year, and took a tour of the Wrexham AFC pitch (translated to American: soccer stadium). The club (team) was bought by Canadian actor Reynolds and American actor Rob McElhenny, who are documenting their attempt to build the team up in their FX show Welcome to Wrexham.

“I would say that we’re impossibly excited to welcome him to the Racecourse ground, this historic church that resides in the heart of Wrexham and is the heart of Wrexham. Rob and I both said early on, and this holds true and for the rest of our lives, we will do anything to uplift and elevate this community and this club and having the King pay a visit is certainly one way to do it,” said Reynolds before the royal meeting, per the BBC. Added McElhenny, “We’ll make him a fan.”
During the visit, Charles was heard wishing players luck, and Camilla remarked, “It’s an extraordinary story.” (WHAT Ryan Reynolds movie did she mean??? The Croods???)
