The hooded dress proved to be an unexpected trend which took the red carpet by storm during the final quarter of this year, despite the first sighting of this style being spotted on Rihanna back in February, when she wore a red leather custom Alaïa coat to promote Fenty Savage.
Fuelled by the Saint Laurent Spring 2023 collection, we also saw celebrities making statements in hooded dresses from Versace, Alberta Ferretti, Halpern, Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini and Ferragamo.
Many of you have expressed that you’re not fans of ‘80s fashion, yet this trend – which was popularized in the ’80s by Alaïa and Grace Jones – seems to have gone down well with the majority of you.
