Miley Cyrus’ musical takeover at NBC’s “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” in Miami was enthralled by vintage Versace and archival Bob Mackie. The singer hosted the New Year’s special, which featured performances of her godmother and country icon Dolly Parton, entrepreneur Paris Hilton and singer Sia.
Fashion stylist Bradley Kenneth was responsible for Cyrus’ looks. He incorporated ruffles, gleaming sequins, ruched accents, and whimsical trains into the night’s outfits — all of which were accessorized by multiple pairs of shiny sandals both in slingback and ankle-strap style.
Cyrus hit the stage wearing a pale-pink knockout Versace dress from the designer’s spring 2005 ready-to-wear collection and performed her 2009 single “Party in the U.S.A.” The dress was sourced from Opulent Addict and was magnified by a plunging neckline that met at the center of the bodice with a ruched accent.
She completed the look by slipping on a pair of satin slingback sandals that featured a knot on top and heels reaching at least 3 inches in height.
The color then came scorching in with a vintage ruffled Versace skirt patterned in floral and polka-dot designs. The piece was designed by Gianni Versace. Cyrus added black slingbacks to the look.
Later on, Cyrus changed to a vintage Bob Mackie sequined dress.
Featuring an asymmetrical one-shoulder neckline, the dress had strings draping along the top hem and skirt hem as well. Silver, brown and gold hues were all seen throughout the detailing of the dress, yet the heel’s sheer color stood out with its 3-inch heel.
Cyrus and her co-host, Parton, had been gearing up for the occasion with video promos leading up to Dec. 31. When they sang their duet together at the New Year’s Eve celebration, both singers went with monochromatic ensembles and matching animal print embroidered accessories. Parton opted for stiletto almond-toe boots and Cyrus coordinated her cutout dress with metallic and black ankle-strap open-toe heels.
