January is the best time of year to try a new look—just ask Kaley Cuoco. The Flight Attendant star debuted a brunette dye job on the Golden Globe Awards 2023 red carpet, alongside partner Tom Pelphrey, with whom she’s expecting her first child.
Cuoco, who is known for her signature blonde hair, has worn her strands dirty blonde in recent months. But the mom-to-be has made the full transition to the dark side for winter, joining the hot chocolate brunette trend spotted on some of our favorite celebs.
To show off the new color, Cuoco wore her hair in an elegant top knot with soft curtain bangs. Celebrity hairstylist Christine Symonds created the look using Clairol Professional products.

This is not the first time Cuoco has experimented with her look. In 2014, she got a much-discussed pixie cut right before filming the eighth season of The Big Bang Theory. She opened up about the chop to Glamour senior west coast editor Jessica Radloff in her book The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series.
“I just fucking cut my hair off and didn’t tell anyone,” Cuoco said. “I did it for an independent film called Burning Bodhi, and basically showed up to our Big Bang wrap party with short hair. [Cocreator] Chuck [Lorre] hugged me and said, ‘Wow, look at your hair!’ and I said, ‘Do you like it?’ I don’t know if I was being rebellious. I mean, I did do it for the movie, which was my excuse to cut it. At that point we were heading into our eighth season and something needed to shake up.”
