For Spring/Summer 2022, Carhartt WIP has collaborated with Converse CONS to create two skate performance designs that build on both brands’ roots within the world of skateboarding.
The collaboration consists of two styles, the low One Star Ox Pro and the mid-Fast Break Ox Pro, both of which are readied in fabrics such as suede, canvas, and leather in a way that subtly nods to classic Carhartt WIP garments.
Both styles blend casual style and skateboarding in equal measures, most notably through a CONS traction rubber outsole and a CX foam insole which provides improved cushioning. Additionally, the One Star Ox Pro silhouette includes gum rubber toe bumper detailing, applied in a contrast “honey” colour.
A slew of minimal branding rounds out the collaboration, with subtle detailing found on the tongue, sockliner, and lace eyelets, as well as a debossed iteration of the Carhartt logo on the heel.
