Mônot dressed four celebrities for the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held in California on Sunday (March 27).
I was excited for Megan Thee Stallion’s Gaurav Gupta red carpet Oscar gown. Especially as it was her second great look in a row, then this happened.
This custom (yes custom) Mônot dress inspired by the Pre-Fall 2022 collection needed a lot more work.
I love the idea, the sensuality, and the colour, but the execution was lacking.
It’s too tight up top, and too loose on the bottom. How her stylist let her leave the house in this dress will remain a mystery to me.
Zazie Beetz didn’t opt for one of Mônot’s signature cut-out dresses, but her dress did have some revealing elements thanks to the plunging neckline and slits which were merely accented with contrasting ribbons.
This was a refreshing style of dress from the designer.
I love how she made this look her own with the red tights, micro bag and her favourite Brother Vellies ‘Bike’ sandals.
Model Elsa Hosk made light work of her custom Mônot two-piece look.
It’s custom because no one else could do justice to this design quite like Elsa.
This custom Mônot dress created for Oscar-winner Ariana Debose, might just be her second best look of Awards Season after her BAFTA gown.
Well. If you’re going to get it right. It might as well be at the final hurdle.
Stuart Weitzman black suede and pvc Aleena’ sandals and De Beers jewels completed her look.
