Zendaya, Ana De Armas and Jenna Ortega showed us how it’s done at last night’s coveted awards ceremony.
If Wonderland is at all in your orbit, then you’ll be well aware that we simply drool over awards ceremonies. That sweet concoction of anticipation in the air, fantastic fits, and our fave celebs under one roof just gets us going! This time around, you can colour us impressed. The illustrious SAG-AFTRA awards were dreamed up to honour their members – who span across the film, television, radio, as well as wider media professions. Zendaya was in her fashion-killer element, and Jenna Ortega was as svelte as ever, while Ana De Armas was pretty in a plunge neckline; we couldn’t be more delighted.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet
Kicking off in a blaze, let’s begin with Zendaya. Our Virgo queen has returned after a much needed hiatus. It takes a lot of effort to slay this hard! Thankfully, we’ve been blessed with some heat; we’re dying at this Valentino moment. A pink, satin, strapless ballgown is utterly elevated by an abundance of rose appliques. Concentrated in volume towards the hem, the roses disperse towards the bodice. This look is surreal, dreamy – and right up our street.
Captivating in custom
Next up is Miss Ana De Armas, whose red carpet looks are just as impactful as her on-screen performances. This time around, she dazzled in a Louis Vuitton ensemble – custom, no less. The LV artisans crafted up an embroidered tulle gown for the actress, embellished with velvet bows. The contrast between the dress’ feminine details, and the dark, almost melancholic colour palette make for an alluring juxtaposition. Love!
Vintage Versace
Our resident cool girl, Jenna Ortega, turned it out on the red carpet – donning a vintage ‘90s Versace ensemble. Svelte and sexy, the wet-look fabric is evocative and intriguing. The draping of the dress creates an eye-catching silhouette, while the cherry on top is a high-to-the-heavens slight. Pairing the look with some strappy sandals and some shimmering jewels – Ortega looks like a vision.
Wowing us in white
Indie film maverick Barry Keoghan also turned it out last night, subverting the typical menswear suit by donning an all-white look. Another custom from Louis Vuitton, the house sure knows how to make an impact on the red carpet! The double-breasted suit jacket and trousers are deconstructed, created to look like it’s almost falling apart. Menswear on the red carpet can often be lacklustre, but Keoghan evidently knows how to bring it.
