There were many more Chanel ambassadors and friends of the house who honored Karl Lagerfeld on the red carpet for the 2023 Met Gala, along with Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Dua Lipa.
Kristen Stewart may not be your favourite Chanel ambassador, but you can’t deny that she paid the perfect homage to the designer wearing this black and white look from the Chanel Resort 2017 collection.
The only thing needed here were better shoes, and a good night’s sleep.
If you’ve followed Marion Cotillard’s style for long enough, you will know that her true style has an element of punk spirit, which no doubt prompted her to rock a pink wig to the Met Gala.
She wears it well I have to say, along with her Chanel Fall 2007 Haute Couture embroidered dress accented with draped flounces.
I wish she had an equal amount of fun in the footwear department.
Margaret Qualley’s Chanel looks usually have the same trait: a long hemline, which is why I was happy to see her have more fun wearing this black silk lace mini dress from the Chanel Spring 1997 Haute Couture.
I’m even loving the shoes on this occasion.
Charlotte Casiraghi was elegance personified wearing a Chanel Fall 1996 Haute Couture dress with a floral motif.
Most other celebrities would’ve worn this dress on it’s own, so I was happy to see this one worn over a black satin jumpsuit.
Summer brides were served up with plenty of inspiration, as Gisèle Bündchen was one of many bridal looks to grace the red carpet for the Met Gala.
Returning to the Met Gala for the first time since 2017, this Chanel Spring 2007 Haute Couture white sequin gown featuring a silk tulle long cape embellished with feathers and camellias, was a rerun of sorts, because the model first wore this look for a Harper’s Bazaar Korea editorial following its runway debut back in 2007.
15 years later, nothing has changed.
This is your true supermodel.
Speaking of supermodels, Naomi Campbell brought plenty of glamour to the red carpet wearing one of my favourite looks from the Chanel Spring 2010 Haute Couture collection.
Yes. I’m here for the drapery, but also the pink hue after so many black and white looks on this red carpet.
I’m living for the goddess vibes.
Whitney Peak served up soft, cloud-like elegance wearing a Chanel Fall 2021 Haute Couture white organza top which was fully embroidered with fantasy flowers and paired with a mermaid skirt pleated with silk tulle flounces.
From one icon to another, Lizzo wore a custom Chanel dress with a glass pearls harness inspired by a Chanel Fall 1991 ready-to-wear look worn by the iconic Linda Evangelista.
I love when a brand designs a dress for Lizzo that is flattering and allows her true beauty to shine.
This was truly a great night fashion wise for Chanel. They had a lot to live up, and the delivered in my opinion.
