Sabrina Elba made her Royal Ascot debut on day three of the event on Thursday (June 22) in England, and it looks like she was inspired by royalty.
Catherine, Princess of Wales immediately springs to mind, as she has been wearing a lot of Han Chong’s designs recently, as the designer often leans towards a ladylike aesthetic which is perfect for Catherine’s royal engagements.
But Sabrina’s stylist Kim Russell shared on Instagram that the inspiration behind this custom Self-Portrait white tailored bouclé peplum jacket and pencil midi skirt was Lady Diana.
Kim said, “Who better to draw inspiration from than the People’s Princess, Queen of My Heart and OG Mother of England, Lady Diana Spencer? This was such a fun and special event to do it’s soooo Bri’ish of me luv .”
Going matchy for the event, the model styled her look with the obligatory matching fascinator and Gianvito Rossi white point-toe pumps, which was most likely inspired by the lady who has the biggest collection of Gianvito Rossi pumps: Catherine, Princess of Wales.
