Emma Corrin was back on the red carpet for the 2022 Olivier Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (April 10) in London.
As you know I’ve been Team Emma Corrin style wise from the jump.
But I couldn’t get on board with the British actress’ latest look from Loewe’s Fall 2022 collection.
My biggest issue is that the dress didn’t work for the occasion.
This was the London Theatre Awards. Where she was nominated.
I would’ve digested this balloon print dress accented with the balloon bra at the CDFA Fashion Awards, The British Fashion Awards, or a music ceremony event, Comic Con, a premiere or screening of her latest film, but it feels out of place at this event.
And setting aside the occasion, I don’t like the dress to begin with. It looks like a dress from one of those Instagram brands you see on your Discovery Shopping page.
I do know that at some point I’ll be desperate to see someone rock these Loewe balloon stretch boots, but they didn’t work with this dress.
I know many of you have said this about her style in the past, but this felt a little bit like she was trying too hard.
I’m really disappointed all round.
