Ryan Gosling didn’t disappoint when he stepped onto the red carpet for the ‘Barbie’ world premiere held in Los Angeles on Sunday (July 9), where he wore a pink Gucci suit.
In this age of blurring lines between men’s and womenswear, there is still a feeling of “rule-breaking” about a pink suit (perhaps this is a symptom of how we still cling to certain colours as gender definitions).
Even if this wasn’t for a ‘Barbie’ promo tour, this suit feels visually exciting, despite Nicholas Hoult and Timothée Chalamet serving up pink suits in the past; but the difference is that they didn’t add a pink shirt.
As you know I haven’t liked a single pair of Gucci shoes that Ryan has worn during this promo tour, so I was delighted to see him ditch the horsebit shoes for a more complementary pair with these off-white lace up shoes.
I was also equally charmed by this Barbie E necklace which was a nod to his wife Eva Mendes, and daughter Esmeralda.
