The 2023 Cartier Le Voyage Recommencé High Jewellery Exhibition was held in the Prince Jun Maison, followed by a Gala Dinner at the Great Wall, which was attended by Cartier brand ambassador, Lily Collins.
The actress has had a long history with the colour red, but this has been in relation to her favourite lip colour.
On this occasion she looked breath-taking by matching her lip colour and ruby Cartier jewels to her Elie Saab Fall 2023 Haute Couture garnet red silk velvet gown.
Elie Saab knows how to make a statement. Usually with embellishments, but on this occasion it was a case of fabric and silhouette can say so much more than dazzling embellishments.
Aside from the colour, this look stands out for the sensual pleated bustier style with cinches in the waist for a flattering figure, while a smooth velvet composition leans into the fluidity synonymous with the label’s aesthetic.
I’m choosing to ignore the platforms.
