Here is a roundup from the ladies who attended the 2023 GQ Men Of The Year Awards on Wednesday (November 15) in London.
You might be looking at Cush Jumbo and be having a mild case of déjà vu looking at the curved neckline and the gathering of material at the bustline, because of Ayo Edebiri’s Prada dress from the 2023 Glamour Women of the Year Awards.
However, Cush’s pink dress is from the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2024 collection.
Did she save the bodice issues with the sheer gloves and socks?
Sadly not. The only thing I like about this look is the shade of pink on Cush.
Christian Louboutin Hot Chick Sling pumps completed her look.
I know some of you aren’t sold on Daisy Edgar Jones being a Gucci girl, but I really enjoyed this ‘90s inspired look which hails from the labels new Spring 2024 collection.
I think this collection will work better for the British actress than the Alessandro Michele collections did.
We all know that Emma Corrin’s style has taken a different direction.
The eccentric looks on the back of their success from ‘The Crown,’ have given way to more measured red carpet looks which have been leaning more and more towards tailoring.
Miu Miu is usually our go-to for retro inspired feminine frocks, yet Emma selected this navy wool jacket and pants with a beaming yellow cardigan, which actually feels more like a look from Prada.
Ikram Abdi looked gorgeous in green a Victoria Beckham Circle open back dress, even though I’m questioning the placement of that scrunch.
I’m buying everything that Jess Glynne is selling.
The breastplate has a strong warrior princess vibe which is enhanced by the leather gloves.
This was one of the best looks on this red carpet for me.
I just can’t get on board with this KNWLS Spring 2024 leather corset dress on Jodie Turner-Smith.
I don’t know if she’s changed her stylist, or she’s working in a different mode now, but this isn’t the style I originally fell in love with.
British Heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson wore a Dior Fall 2023 embroidered tulle dress styled with Dior shoes WITHOUT the socks.
I was beginning to think the Dior socks were mandatory.
Meg Bellamy finally allows us to see this Versace Fall 2023 bustier top styled with the jeans we saw on the runway.
I feel like we’ve seen every iteration – as a mini dress and pencil dress – except for this one.
I feel like I should be saying that this Valentino halterneck mini dress is too twee for Phoebe Waller-Bridge, but her style tends to stick firmly with suits, so I actually found this look to be really refreshing.
It’s been a while since we have seen an Atsuko Kudo Couture latex design on the red carpet, and Raye looked sensational wearing this custom ruby gown with a scalloped neckline.
I was a little underwhelmed by Sheila Atim’s last outing, but seeing her in this Versace halterneck dress styled with Christian Louboutin Hot Chick Sling pumps gets me quickly back on side.
Jess Glynne wasn’t the only one who rocked a breastplate at this event, as Vick Hope looked stunning wearing this gold custom Graham Cruz piece which she complemented with a selection of gold jewels.
Both looks brought something completely different to this red carpet, which is why this trend is likely not to become one of those trends we are desperate to see the back of.
