This is more PDA than we’ve seen Dakota Johnson share with her longtime boyfriend, Chris Martin! Martin’s ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, just posted a picture of herself and Dakota holding hands, and it’s both BFF and extended blended family goals.
On November 29, Paltrow popped on Instagram to solicit some “ask me a question” prompts, and one included a follower asking for a pic with Johnson. Paltrow complied with a possibly recent pic of the two actors on a rural road in jeans and jackets and hats, holding hands against the backdrop of fall foliage. Could be from this year’s Thanksgiving?

Paltrow and Johnson have always been fans of each other. They’ve posed together at events, and Paltrow has been nothing but complimentary of the Fifty Shades star. (They have more than Chris in common!)
“I love her,” Paltrow told Harper’s Bazaar of Johnson back in January 2020. “I can see how it would seem weird because it’s sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her. I always start to think of the ampersand sign—what else can you bring in, instead of being resistant to or being made insecure by? There’s so much juice in leaning into something like that.” Three years later, in another “ask me” moment on IG, she added, “We’re actually very good friends…. I love her so much. She’s an adorable, wonderful person.”
