Following The Fashion Awards, Amal Clooney and George Clooney were back together on the red carpet for MGM Seattle community screening of ‘The Boys In The Boat,’ held at the SIFF Cinema on Thursday (December 7) in Washington.
Even for a screening Amal was serving up high glamour wearing a red 16Arlington Spring 2024 column (of course) dress drenched in oversized latex paillettes resembling fish scales.
We don’t often see Amal wearing fresh off-the-runway looks, as her red carpet M.O. usually consists of vintage dresses, or custom made looks from Donatella Versace.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Amal in 16Arlington of course. Back in 2021 she wore one of the label’s most recognisable sequin and feathered glamorous gowns.
Perhaps with this new Spring 2024 collection, which we saw worn by Alexa Chung at the Fashion Awards, the label is moving away from its retro-inspired roots.
When it comes to Amal styling, I wish she had carried a silver clutch over the gold she added with the silver pumps.
I may have softened my stance on brown dresses, white shoes, tights and pairing white with ivory, but I’m standing firm on mixing metals.
