The broker of fine art and jewellery announced Monday that Kristina O’Neill will helm the organisation’s media division and will serve as editor-in-chief of Sotheby’s Magazine effective Jan. 8, 2024.
With the magazine as its flagship property, Sotheby’s Media will incorporate digital, audio and video content, as well as a signature event for the magazine which will take place in the fall of 2024.
Prior to joining Sotheby’s, O’Neill held the role of editor-in-chief of WSJ. Magazine, the lifestyle vertical of the Wall Street Journal, where she spearheaded the launch of the magazine’s newsletters and its signature event, the Innovators Awards. O’Neill left WSJ. Magazine in June 2023 after having served as the publication’s chief editor for 10 years.
In this new role, O’Neill will report to Gareth Jones, Sotheby’s chief marketing officer.
