Fantasia Barrino made a guest appearance on CBS Mornings with Gayle King, where the actress talked about the highly anticipated musical adaptation of ‘The Color Purple’ which hits theatres on December 25, 2023.
At this point, it is safe to say that Dolce & Gabbana will be dressing Fantasia on January 6, as she walks the red carpet for the Golden Globe Awards where she is nominated in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical category.
Not only has the label put in the groundwork to dress the actress for most of her public appearances, but they have also helped transform her style, and elevated it to a whole new level.
And let me add that a custom Dolce & Gabbana awards season gown always gleans amazing results (unless you’re Carrie Underwood – I’m still not over that gown 1 year and 8 months on).
What I love most about this look is the Dolce & Gabbana cape.
We saw it recently on Elizabeth Banks, but the styling makes a whole lot more sense in an everyday setting rather than as a red carpet look.
Usually I’m all for a pop of colour, but I would have preferred her leopard print Brandon Blackwood to have been black and grey rather than orange and black.
Between the colour and the drapery, this DAZLUQ is taking me back to her Christian Siriano London premiere dress.
Proof if needed that white might just be her colour.
