The Christian Louboutin Uptown ankle strap pumps added to the elegance, but the Belperron necklace really stood out.
New York Times editor Jill Newman shared that her Belperron 65 carat old mine cut diamond set on a black lacquer toggle torque necklace was designed in 1933.
It was worn by Elsa Schiaparelli in Vogue Paris that same year, and the magazine wrote: “Let us rejoice: the year 1933 marks a revival in the art of jewelry.”
Nearly a century later and this design remains relevant, modern and chic.
