Halle Bailey is back on the red carpet for the first time since giving birth to her first child in December. On February 1 the Little Mermaid star marked the milestone by wearing a dazzling white corset gown to the Black Music Collective’s 2024 Recording Academy Honors in Los Angeles.
Designed by Mach & Mach, the angelic dress featured a molded scoop-neck bustier, cinched waist, and shimmering semitranslucent sequins from top to bottom. With the help of stylist Nichole Goodman, the Color Purple actor finished the look by pulling her braids into an elegant updo and frosting herself in diamonds, including a sapphire-studded choker, spiral stud earrings, and a couple cocktail rings for good measure.

Halle Bailey graced the red carpet with her longtime boyfriend DDG in tow. The rapper contrasted her bridal white with an all-black ensemble comprised of a pleated double-breasted jacket, leather gloves, sunglasses, and Prada loafers.
The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Halo, some time at the end of last year. In January, Bailey announced Halo’s birth with an Instagram tribute that showed his tiny hand in hers, wearing a gold bracelet engraved with his name.
