Taylor Swift and Céline Dion made it abundantly clear there is no beef between them at the 2024 Grammys. Right before the awards show concluded on Sunday evening, the Canadian crooner appeared before the audience to present Swift with the award for album of the year—thereby marking the fourth time she’s won that particular honor. When Swift and her entourage of Midnights collaborators joined Dion on stage but failed to individually acknowledge her, speculation immediately ran wild. Many on X (formerly known as Twitter) felt the “Anti Hero” hitmaker had committed a cardinal sin by neglecting to greet the 55-year-old legend, who spent much of last year battling chronic illness, before launching into her acceptance speech.
Shortly after collecting the award, though, the two cleared up the rumors by posing together backstage. In the photo Swift is mid-laugh and leaning into the “My Heart Will Go On” singer with both of their arms wrapped around each other. Swift pulled a strapless white Schiaparelli dress with a high slit for the occasion and Dion selected a similarly draped Valentino design in a pale pink hue, although the latter chose to accessorize the gown with a sienna-colored coat.
So don’t be fooled by the rumors. Taylor Swift and Céline Dion have shown plenty of love to one another over the years, starting in 2010 when they posed for a picture together at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards (above). Dion also presented an award to Swift at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, where they shared a sweet onstage embrace.
No drama, all love.
