On Saturday, Dakota Johnson attended the Vogue Carnival Ball in Rio de Janeiro.
It was clear for all to see that Dakota’s custom Annie’s Ibiza Cobweb gown, inspired by nature’s greatest seamstress the spider, was a clear nod to her upcoming film, ‘Madame Web,’ even though the theme of this ball was Galactica and Cosmo.
A theme will always have me in a chokehold, but I must say I am surprised a look that is so on the nose and so relevant to her film like this, wasn’t saved for the world premiere.
I can imagine that this means Dakota and Kate Young have something even more breath-taking coming down the pipeline, but I honestly can’t imagine anything outperforming this, because it couldn’t be more perfect from the embellishments, the sheerness, to the hooded cape.
This isn’t the only cobweb dress we have seen related to a spider related film before, as you will all remember Zendaya’s Valentino Haute Couture gown worn to the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ LA premiere back in December 2021.
