Florence Pugh stepped onto the red carpet this evening for the ‘Dune: Part Two’ London premiere, and my first thought was, “they’ve finally cracked the code.”
By they, I mean Florence and Rebecca Corbin-Murray, because the actress looked breath-taking tonight.
I was absolutely petrified that this was going to be another Valentino tulle, sheer ball gown which was had seen so many times before.
But Pierpaolo Piccioli finally ripped up that playbook and gave Florence something completely new.
FINALLY.
Some of you might been looking at this custom Valentino backless dress; fully adorned with sequin embellishments, a statement hood and relaxed cowl neckline, and say that it isn’t ground-breaking, or new, especially considering that the hooded dress trend was winter 2022.
My check list for Florence’s ‘Dune’ promo tour was:
1. Flattering looks.
2. No Valentino tulle gowns.
3. Something with plenty of attitude and suits her personality.
4. A memorable moment.
From her two London appearances, I have been able to check this list twice.
I’m praying for more exciting times like this ahead.
