Lizzo looked like she was about to launch into orbit attending the 2024 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony held at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Saturday in Los Angeles.
The singer shared a picture of this custom Quine Li gown with the caption, “YALL NOT READY FOR THIS ERA.”
And it’s safe to say, I wasn’t.
As you know, I have struggled to get onboard with the majority of Lizzo’s red carpet looks over the years, but this avant-garde gown with a sculpted and flattering silhouette is the answer to my prayers.
Finally, she has found a team who know, and care how to dress her, and in this case elevates her style into a whole new stratosphere.
Hopefully there will be no more garbage bag gowns in her future. Two years on, and I’m still mad about that look.
Who is the team in charge of this “new era, new Lizzo?”
Matthew Reisman and Reginald Reisman, who already have me excited for her next look.
Black Jimmy Choo pumps, black gloves, and gold jewelry completed her look, which was as sophisticatedly on-theme as Katy Perry’s look.
