Blackpink’s Jennie and Gentle Monster are back for a third collaboration. The two have taken to Instagram to tease the new collection, titled “Jentle Salon.”
We got a peek into the upcoming collection when Jennie and Gentle Moster posted an unboxing video on Instagram. The K-pop star was seen lifting the lid of a huge gift box, revealing a unicorn doll decorated with charms and a pink box labelled “Jentle Salon.” Four sunglasses and a pair of reading glasses are nestled inside, along with a comb and an array of adorable charms, including ribbons, gem hearts, and a capybara, Jennie’s favourite animal.
After “Jentle Garden” and “Jentle Home,” this eyewear collection centres around each person’s creative expression by mixing and matching. The collection webpage reveals that “Jentle Salon” will include eight frames with multiple colourways and eleven different charms, allowing countless possible combinations.
Highlights include the Fish Tail which features a structural butterfly shape in four colourways and the Glitter which is a rimless square shape with graduated brown lenses. In her Instagram post, we see Jennie wearing the Barette, a pair of reading glasses with an oval-round shape and a temple design reminiscent of a hairpin on the silver metal frame. She’s also seen wearing the Cheveux De Nini in Black with the Petite Cooing charm.
“Jentle Salon” will be dropping on May 1. The collection ranges from US$295 to US$380, with the charms ranging from US$20 to US$70. You can select up to two charms to add to your cart with each purchase of any frame, except the Barette, which isn’t compatible with the charms.
