Cara Delevingne joined Diane Kruger and Joey King in embracing a theatrical aesthetic for the Vogue World: Paris 2024 event at Place Vendome on Sunday, where the model wore a Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2024 Haute Couture look that blends Simone Rocha’s ultra-feminine style with JPG’s iconic elements.
The layered design, accentuated by ribbons, ruffled shorts, and playful conical breasts/horns was a celebration of wistful romance and nostalgia, capturing the quintessential Jean Paul Gaultier trademarks such as corsetry, lingerie, and a sailor reference through the sailor’s bob, which was seen on look 20 from the collection.
So where do you stand?
Do you appreciate the effort and creativity that went into this dramatic, romantic outfit, recognizing it as a witty flourish that pushes fashion boundaries? Or do you find it too costumey?
I find the look to be a captivating blend of whimsy and artistry, showcasing Cara’s ability to take bold fashion risks.
