Uzo Aduba Wore Loewe To 'The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat' LA Premiere

Uzo Aduba made a stylish appearance at the LA premiere of ‘The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat,’ held at the Culver Theater on Friday. The actress turned heads in a minty dress from the Loewe Spring 2024 collection, but it might spark some mixed reactions.

Let’s start with the positives. The colour choice was impeccable. The mint hue is fresh, vibrant, and eye-catching—perfect for a summer premiere. I also appreciate the creative style direction of layering the dress with a leather bra, which complements the leather buckle neckline. This was a clever choice, considering the keyhole opening made going braless less practical. The added layer gave the look an edge while maintaining a sense of modesty.

However, there were some drawbacks. I’m really disappointed that the pleats were steamed out. Keeping the pleats intact would have allowed the dress to drape more naturally, adding a fluidity that is now missing. The pleats could have given the dress more movement and a softer silhouette, enhancing the overall look.

What are your thoughts? Should the pleats have stayed, or are you too enamoured by her styling of this look to see that as an issue?

You may remember that Tracee Ellis Ross wore this same dress in grey to the 2024 Producers Guild Awards.
