Sheer Delight

After mixed reactions to her pink gown at the Toronto Film Festival, Florence’s latest look—a black lace Dior Resort 2025 dress—is sure to unite opinions, and for good reason: it’s sheer.

I have to say, I much prefer this Dior look over the pink Tamara Ralph gown. While the frou frou gowns Florence sometimes wears are beautiful, they don’t capture her essence. Florence has always thrived in edgier styles, and this sheer black lace number feels far more aligned with her bold, fearless fashion persona. The dress has a dark elegance and sensuality that matches the intensity.

Paired with Jimmy Choo Max platforms and sparkling Tiffany & Co. jewels, the look was completed with just the right amount of glamour without losing its rebellious edge.

Florence with an edge is undeniably the way forward, and this Dior ensemble proves that she doesn’t need excessive frills to make a statement. She’s at her best when she embraces a more daring, confident aesthetic, and I will die on that hill.

classic minimalism

Andrew Garfield opted for classic minimalism with a Louis Vuitton dark gray double-breasted suit, accessorized with an OMEGA timepiece. The sharp tailoring and muted colour palette were a reflection of his usual understated elegance. Though the look didn’t break new ground, it was a masterclass in simplicity, and Andrew wore it with confidence, as always.
