Prada had a notable presence at the 2024 Emmy Awards, with three stars showcasing Miuccia Prada’s designs.

A Bold Fusion of Structure and Drama

Sarah Paulson, nominated for Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series for ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’, reminded us why her partnership with Prada is always a red carpet standout. Known for her fearless approach to fashion, Sarah chose a sapphire blue tec satin dress that immediately grabs your attention with its structured sleeves and unexpected design choices.

While some might feel unsure about the asymmetrical black taffeta skirt, wide draped tail, and trailing white taffeta bow, I believe these elements are what elevate the look. Without them, the dress would have simply been a blue midi, lacking the flair needed for an event as glamorous as the Emmys. The asymmetry and dramatic tail add layers of intrigue, making the look feel dynamic and inject artistic qualities that are quintessentially Prada.

What truly brings it all together are the Prada white pumps and clutch. These accessories not only complement the dress but also create a cohesive, polished finish. Sarah Paulson once again proves that when she and Prada team up, they deliver show-stopping red carpet moments.

Classic with a pop of Colour

Co-host Eugene Levy looked effortlessly dapper in his Prada navy double-breasted peak suit, with a lilac poplin tuxedo shirt and purple satin tie adding a subtle yet effective twist to the classic ensemble. The choice of navy over traditional black injected a sense of sophistication without straying too far from formality, and the lilac shirt offered a pop of colour that felt fresh and modern.

Eugene’s Prada suit struck the perfect balance between old-school elegance and contemporary flair.

A Miss

Paul Rudd, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for ‘Only Murders in the Building’, opted for a classic Prada black single-breasted peak tuxedo. While the look itself was traditional and safe, I couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed by the fit. A sharper fit, or a double-breasted tuxedo, would have made all the difference here.
